Expert chefs love combining curry powder with sweet complements like fruit, so don’t be afraid of experimenting with flavors. Chef Shawn McClain, of Spring and Green Zebra in Chicago told allrecipes.com that he combines curry powder with “fruits such as apples, bananas and passion fruit, and sweeter flavors like vanilla. “For example,” he said, “we serve a Maine lobster spring roll with passion fruit-curry sauce.”
