“Food Tip” del giorno – Sichuan Peppercorns!
Chinese and Japanese cuisines mainly use Sichuan peppercorns for aromatics, and with spice combinations to add a kick of heat. Keep Sichuan peppercorns on a pepper grinder and add to any dish that needs a little umph, and keep whole peppercorns on hand to infuse hot oils with deep flavor and earthy aromas. Be careful, though, because ingesting large quantities of sichuan peppercorns can be toxic!
